February Reflections

A "Jewel of Team Culture" this year we have tried to be intentional about in Royales is our jewel of "connect & reflect." 

Through small moments in practice to quarterly Royale Relations Dates, the team is connecting as individuals on and off the dance floor.  We have also been working on better connecting with our JV West Cluster sisters!  

 

As part of reflecting, we have started "dance journaling"  to intentionally reflect on our growth as dancers and humans.  If you haven't asked your Royale to share some of her personal reflections, I highly recommend it.  

 

Reflection topics have included:

  • Defining personal intention(s)

  • Thinking about what we can & can't control

  • What dancing means to us

  • What dancing provides that other activities can't provide

  • Acts of kindness to ourselves & our teammates

  • Growth since tryouts

  • Reliability & consistency of self 

  • Self-talk & bravery

The social officers are the heart of the team and they have done a great job of helping cultivate questions that will help their teammates see the growth and value in themselves and each other.  🥰
