March Reflections

Seniors... it's not goodbye, but rather I'll see you later, dance.

As a dancer, I hope dance and Royales forever stays in your heart.  When you hear "that song" in the grocery aisle after you've grown up, you may (or might not) remember the steps to the routine, but I hope your heart fills with love and joy for the memories you made in Royales.

Dance helps our souls share, it lets ourselves experience all parts of life in a different way.  The music literally moves us-- it exposes our weaknesses but also lets our strengths shine.  I hope one day, your parents tell you they miss watching you dance.  Your parents seeing you express yourself through strength, artistry, and creativity allows them to see a part of your soul-- one that they may not get to see anymore as you grow up and get busy.

Always dance for yourself, but don't forget that when you dance with and as part of a team, you dance as something bigger than yourself.  Know that the movement on the floor is literally INCOMPLETE WITHOUT YOU!  You are a part of the dance world and dance can stay a part of yours forever, if you let it!

Every line of Royales is its own chapter, and YOU are what makes this chapter special.  You leave your legacy on the program, I hope the program leaves a mark on your heart as well.  That you know you can do more than you thought; you can do the hard things!  And always that you are worthy of it-- whatever your IT may be.
